DITU is a five piece live band, based on a songwriting and production duo. The sound is a rare mix of alternative-indie pop/rock with elements of dub, psychedelia and funk, and their music has been said to bring hints of both MGMT and Gorillaz. Loads of energy, charm and entertainment characterise their live shows.

Summer 2015 the band's debut-album "Coconut Message" was released by popup-records in Germany, Switzerland and Austria getting amazing reception: "Record Of The Week" at FAZ, radio rotations and features at more than 40 different radio stations such as Delta Radio, SRF Virus, 917xfm, BR PULS a.o., 2 radio singles listed at official top 50 college radio charts, and headliner-slots at festivals. The band was touring in Germany in both June/July and November, visiting Hamburg, Berlin, Köln/Cologne, Wiesbaden, Nurnberg, Stuttgart, Dortmund, Dresden, Hannover, and also

Ebensee in Austria.

In Spain, Mexico and South-America Disaster In The Universe has a booking agreement with Menos Que Cero (same as Kakkmaddafakka and The Whitest Boy Alive), and July 2015 they played their first spanish festivals in Madrid and Barcelona, in front of more than 15.000 people. The song "Beach House» (a catchy, feelgood indie-funk tune that has been a huge summer-hit in Norway, A-listed for months and streamed more than a million times on Spotify) was also the official festival-song for both of the festivals. October 2015 the band played BIME showcase festival in Bilbao, and Grotesque Club in Burgos, and they are now negotiating with spanish record companies.

Disaster In The Universe has been frequently listed and played on the biggest radio stations in Norway during the last three years, and they have featured on all the biggest music festivals in Norway, including Hove, Slottsfjell, Øya and by:Larm.
